Celebrate World Bee Day 2021 with the United Nations on 20th May. It is held on this date to honour the birth date of Anton Janša, the pioneer of modern beekeeping.
The fact that bees are dying at an alarming rate is a massive concern to the world’s population. There is no life without bees and the pollination services that bees naturally provide us with are invaluable. Without them, not only would honey supplies be down, but basic crops like apples would be threatened. Albert Einstein famously said that “if the bee disappeared off the face of the Earth, man would only have four years left to live”.
The purpose of World Bee Day is to raise awareness of the importance of bees and beekeeping and inform the public of major beekeeping events around the world so that they can celebrate World Bee Day! Here at Buddy Burst, we are buzzing to help businesses and brands share the news with their customers, helping to not only raise awareness but actively give something back to the bees.

Wildflower Seeds for Bees
One of the best things we can do to help sustain the bee population is to simply plant wildflowers! Bees love nectar-rich wildflowers as they provide food and habitat to live in. That’s where our range of promotional wildflower seed products comes in.
Seedballs
One of our favourite (and by far the most fun) ways to plant wildflowers is with our Seedballs. The tiny balls are made from a mixture of seeds, clay, peat-free compost, and chili powder, which create a protective casing against seed predators. To be planted, they simply need to be scattered on fertile soil, and nature will do the rest
The best thing about our Seedballs is that they come specifically in a “Bee Mix” variety. The Bee Mix seeds grow into a mix of wildflowers that are particularly good for the bees.

As well as supporting World Bee Day, we also support the work of the RHS Plants for Pollinators. This is a campaign aimed at gardeners to educate them on which plants provide the best food source for wild bees and pollinating insects and will help to halt the decline in natural populations.
