Seeds for World Bee Day 2021

Celebrate World Bee Day 2021 with the United Nations on 20th May.  It is held on this date to honour the birth date of Anton Janša, the pioneer of modern beekeeping.

The fact that bees are dying at an alarming rate is a massive concern to the world’s population. There is no life without bees and the pollination services that bees naturally provide us with are invaluable. Without them, not only would honey supplies be down, but basic crops like apples would be threatened. Albert Einstein famously said that “if the bee disappeared off the face of the Earth, man would only have four years left to live”. 

The purpose of World Bee Day is to raise awareness of the importance of bees and beekeeping and inform the public of major beekeeping events around the world so that they can celebrate World Bee Day! Here at Buddy Burst, we are buzzing to help businesses and brands share the news with their customers, helping to not only raise awareness but actively give something back to the bees.

More about our Sustainable Production Process & Business Practices

In addition to supplying a variety of customisable eco-friendly, plantable promotional products, Buddy Burst practices carbon-neutral printing. Our carbon neutral printing is certified to ISO14001 environmental standard. It is also certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).

Unfortunately,  the creation of carbon emissions during printing is unavoidable. To solve this, our printers support two projects that help avoid the creation of CO2 and actively remove CO2 from the atmosphere. Moreover, our factory is powered by solar panels. This means that we use a truly renewable energy source (the sun) instead of excess fossil fuels to push us forward.

Painting The Park Pink With Our Bio Balloons

This year’s Paint The Park Pink walk was a record breaker for the London-based St. John’s Hospice, and we are so pleased that our Bio Balloons were able to have a place in the ceremonies. Over 200 supporters showed up for the walk, who combined raised £15,000 for St John’s Hospice. Beginning in Regents Park, the walk was kicked off with a ribbon cutting by CEO Caroline Fox, along with Hospice patients. A lovely memorial balloon release also took place before the walk began. The release, of course, was done with our 100% natural latex Bio Balloons. All of the balloons released were biodegradable,

 

The charity walk coursed friends, families, staff, and volunteers in a 5k ramble around Regents Park and Primrose Hill, where they were able to enjoy spectacular views of London. Once the walkers reached the finish line, they were able to enjoy a BBQ and refreshments. Many of the supporters stayed well into the afternoon to enjoy the post-walk festivities. Regarding the successful event, Fundraising Director Mark Thomas said, ‘A big thank you to everyone who took part and help us raise this incredible amount, our Hospice simply which could not run without the generosity of our supporters and the help of our volunteers.’
